Its a sad day.

Our Prophet died last night. I feel so sad, but happy at the same time. He is with his wife. Damon called from a Stake priesthood meeting and told me about 8 last night. Lee Taylor got a text from his wife during the meeting. I didn't believe it. I started checking online and nothing. I called my Dad and he too, found nothing online. I was hoping it was some kind of sick rumor. And then about 8:40 I found on Deseret News that it was confirmed. I was amazed at the speed of the mormon circuit. We all knew before the news had a chance to post anything.

I am so grateful for that man. He was exceptional. The talk he gave at conference in October 2004, after his wife had died, is what meant the most to me. 'The Women in Our Lives', it made me feel proud to be a woman. I felt like he was talking to me, and I was worth even more than I knew. I read that talk almost every week, to remind me just how much worth I have. I loved his sence of humor, and when he talked everyone listened. I am so greatful for him and what he did for me personally, and for what he did for the church. What and amazing man. My prayers are with his family at this hard time.

Its 50 degrees today!!

Wow! I went outside with only a long sleeve shirt and jeans and was OK for 5 minutes! SCORE! YEAH! Anywho. This week was uneventful, but eventful. The standard routine, Monday was miserable, snowy and windy. We made a birthday cake (again) and sayed indoors. Tuesday was pre-school and grocery shopping. Very thrilling. I actually braved the YMCA with Liam, which I have done only once before. I am such a germ-a-phobe, when we got home I sucked out his nose after a good dosing of saliene solution. Wendesday was gymnastics, which Zoey made it all the way around with the back flip in the harness thing for the first time. She was very proud of herself. Next week she gets to have gymnastics twice! Thursday Dad was home from his buisness trip so mommy was finally sane, Zoey went to preschool and Liam and I had our Mom and me time. I have come to really enjoy playing with Liam and Zoey individually, they love it too, and I find it makes them more pleasant through out the day. I went to cycling on thursday, and the guys joke and call it the massacere of the 24th. It was the most brutal class I had ever been to. Friday was hangin' out again. Cleaned the house, went to the YMCA, which now I regret. Between the cycling class on thursday, lifting legs on friday, and then cycling again this morning, I can not move my legs. I have not been this sore since I don't know when. Anyways. We went to the pet store friday night with the kids and fell in love with a dog. It was a soft coat wheaten terrier. It meets our standards perfectly. Doesn't shed, 30 pounds full grown, and has a really good temperment. If we could have, I would have taken him home right then. It looks like a big teddy bear. Because of its coat, if looks a lot bigger than it actually is. I love it. And Damon feels like he has a little bit more of a 'man' dog. We were looking at yorkies before. 'non-man' dogs. Whatever. Liam is super fast at crawling, and is so darn cute. He knows how to work it. You'll look at him, and he'll shoot you this little smirk of a smile, it kills me. What a doll. He loved to bounce on his bottom when he gets excited too. Being a Mom is so fun! (except when its not) ;) This weekend is beautiful outside. Almost all the snow is gone. After church we are going to go on a bike ride!

Ode to Lucky Jeans

Ode to My Lucky Jeans

Only in dreams did I think thee exist
But still my search did persist.
I looked high and low to find thee,
My Lucky jeans with Brazilian Butt Lift Technology

After two kids, I'm just not the same.
Though I am the same size,
My butt sags on my frame.

Then you came into light,
And my butt looks quite tight
My life will never be the same.

And so I pledge my loyalty,
To my lucky jeans with Brazilian Butt Lift Technology.

Super Girl

Zoey's newest thing is describing her state of being with one word inparticular. "Super". Example. "Mom, I'm super cold!" or "Dad. I'm super hungry, make me nuggets, I'm super hungry!", or, my favorite, when she is throwing a fit, and I tell her to be a happy girl, and she says in her whinny voice, "Mom, I'm super happy." Zoey is our little super girl.

Wow, its been a while

I can't believe how long it has been since I posted something. I was really over the holidays by the time they were over. Ready to get back into the routine. This week was great. Zoey resumed pre-school and gymnastics, and then I got my hair cut, and I look fabulous! I had time to deep clean my house, and Liam has had a normal nap schedule for 5 days in a row. I love getting back to normal. Zoey has been obsessed with birthday cakes lately. We made one on a day where it was way to miserable to go outside. She decorated it herself.

New Years was fun. We went to our friends the petersons and had fondue and the boys played halo. The appeal of that game totally escapes me. All though I do want a wii for valentines day, I can play tennis even with bad knees.

Ever since christmas is has snowed at least 2 days a week, and its cold enough that it actually sticks around for a few days. I am already ready for winter to be over. I am really looking forward to having a trip to AZ at the end of February. Damon will be down for a national sales meeting, so we are coming to and hang out at my Mom's house. Zoey asks every night if tomorrow will be the day we go on an airplane to see grandma and grandpa. She is so persistant!

Liam has figured out how to sit up from a crawling position. It is so funny! He moves in slow motion! He slowly backs is butt down and then sits there for a good 5 seconds to make sure he has his balance, and then looks up triumphantly to whoever is around. Liam is quite the needy child. If you leave him he screams, if you aren't holding him, he screams, which makes Zoey scream, "Momm!! Baby Brothers crying!" As if I could not hear him already! So the past 3 days I have been breaking him of this habbit. Yesterday I deep cleaned the entire house with him screaming the whole time ( 2 hours, he took a really long nap after that.). But today he is much better. I went in my roon to get ready, and he was out in the family room with zoey and didn't cry the whole time. Small steps count for something.

Zoey is facinated with coloring and treasure maps. She will color a page, roll it up like a treasure map, and then say, "Comon! Lets go find treasure!" I can't tell you how many times a day she does this. I've also been transfering everything from my piece of crap mac to my new laptop, and she loved to watch the videos of herself whe she was younger. She is giving me kisses on the cheek right now and saying ,"Mommy, you so prettiful, can I watch my birthday cake?" What a suck up.

I got back into the cycling groove this week. It feels so good to train again. I am feeling skinny again! Whaoo! This week for mutual we had Sis. Roberts, who is a yoga instructor, come and teach us yoga. She taught us this class called power flow. It was pilaties, yoga and tai chi ( sp?) I loved it. I was sweating. It was fabulous!!
