Once upon a Time

How many stories could you make up looking at this photo? It's out of a Fairy Tale.

(there is so so so much)

After the romantic getaway, we met up with Chels, Seth, Mom and Dad P. at the Arizona Temple for Chelsey's Endowment Session. It was so wonderful, and ate at texas roadhouse after. Then D left again for Nashville for some meeting. (We've been doing this for 3 years. I just stop asking where he's going... just call me when ya land babe!) So that means fun times with my family! We took the kids to the Children's Museum of Phoenix. It was awesome. There were so many things. L's favorite once he decided to stop being a bum was the vacuum scarf thing and the room of noodles. Z's was the scarf thing, the ice cream stand where she got to dish out ice cream to every one who wanted it. (Foam cones, foam balls were the ice cream, and ice cream scoops.) The grocery store was also a favorite. And the art room. Ok, lets face it. She loved it all. That museum is so impressive/ingenious. Well worth the trip.

This is the Art Room. This house that they are painting is covered layers and layers of paint! Amazing and such a great idea!

Vacuum scarf thingy. You put the scarfs in the bottom and you change the direction of the airflow and they come shooting out the top and float down to the bottom. The kids LOVED it.

Having a Ball

The ice cream stand. They screamed when we left this thing.

This was with out a doubt L's favorite thing. I spent 20 minutes following him around in this. Thousands of pool noodles hug from the ceiling, making an anemone like effect. So simple yet so genius!

INSIDE THE BELLY OF THE BEAST

As always. Full of swimming, In-n-out, Tia Rosas, shopping, and sleeping late. I took Joey out for his Birthday. We wanted to go to the picnic company, but they closed (sad) and So we went to this little bistro. We walked in and it was COMPLETELY EMPTY. WITH SPACE AGED INTERPRETIVE DANCE MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND. So. Weird. It was all we could do to keep from laughing. We wolfed down our salads and left. Laughing out the door. SOO WEIRD. We also attended Cinny's B-Ball game. My baby sis is one tough cookie. She doesn't mess around. She wears knee pads to keep from getting bruises all the time. She spends a lot of time on the floor diving for balls. No joke. You'd never know we were related...

POOL FUN

I NEED TO PUT THAT GIRL IN DIVING.

One thing that I didn't take enough photos of was the Bachelorette Party. PEDIS!! PF CHANGS! The next post will be the wedding festivities. Prepare yourselves...

blogging from the road

Wyoming. LAME. The only things we have passed are gross gas stations, fireworks stands and old gross gas stations made into adult 'bookstores'. Gross

D and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary a little early. An over nighter here

A full 24 hours with no children. We did a whole lot a nothin' and it was spectacular. We went to dinner at Brio, slept late, ate brunch at the cute cafe at the Biltmore, talked with out interruption, and swam. ALL AFTERNOON. It was so so so so so wonderful. Reminiscing of our wedding and honeymoon, and drinking pina coladas to bring back the week we spent in Ixtapa, Mexico 7 years ago. Happy 7 years to us!

5-part two

Z's 5th birthday

Where does the time go

Her latest. She calls D out when she knows he's jokin'. "DAD! You're jokin', huh!"

"Mom. I'm pretty awesome, huh?"

She calls her Thumbleina doll "Bumbleina"

She loves Alice in Wonderland. She will sing the "In a world of my own" song to her puppy and polly pockets she got from her birthday. "All the flowers! They will sit and talk to me for hours..." So adorable.

I know there are a lot of baby pics. She is just so adorable at that age...

Still refuses to wear pants, shorts, or anything that isn't a skirt or a dress.

She discovered the joy and ease of ponytails.

Her party was an animal/pixie/princess theme, which she picked out herself. She loved having all the attention (big surprise there) and the highlight was the 17 foot princess bouncy castle. Those things are so much fun. We played in it for 3 hours after the party was over.

She is growing up so fast. Growing into a thoughtful, loving, beautiful, darling, smart, funny, witty little girl.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

ASPEN

Three weeks out of town, and much to document.

We went to Aspen. My lil' brother meet us there. We went to Marroon Lake wich is overshdowed by the Deadly Bells. BEAUTIFUL. Cody fly fished. Liam wandered to his hearts content. Zoey kissed a fish and painted rocks with a pussy willow paint brush. Damon had to fight the urge to summit the mountian. I photographed the scene. Percy ate deer poo. It was a great day.

Marroon Lake and the Deadly Bells

We mountain biked. Yes. I finally did it. Totally freaked me out, but Damon was quite in his element. Bombed down the mountain at Snowmass, and played at the park for hours. Paid $20 bucks (a piece) for a burger and called it a good trip.
